Welcome to the Degree Programme in Electrical and Automation Engineering!
This is a 4 year degree programme that comprises 240 ECTS. Upon successful completion of the courses, the student will graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Your normal study right will be valid until the 31st May 2021.
Remember to confirm your study place by 14th July 2017 at 3.00 pm.
8-16 (full-time) mode students:
You need to register for studies at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) at Building A, Lotilantie 16, 37630 Valkeakoski, on Mon 28th Aug 2017 at 8:15 a.m.
Please take your original school and work certificates with you on the very first day. Your student placement will be confirmed after the documents has been verified. Please take your identity card or passport with you as well.
Please note that we have a full orientation programme for all students on the firsts days. We request that all students attend this orientation at the university as important information regarding your studies will be given. The IT usernames and passwords will be given to you on the first day.
Your first assignment as a new Bachelor of Engineering student is to answer this questionnaire by 20th Aug 2017: (link will be published here later on)
We are engaged in HAMK BYOD (Bring Your Own Device - bring your own equipment with you for studying). Students' own laptops / tablets / computers are used in the studies. Wireless network is available. We offer support to use your own devices, and we are looking for the best solutions for instance making learning tasks.
Tutoring students will contact our 8-16 mode's new students. Tutors will help you with practical matters eg. the arrival and housing issues.
The student restaurant Bitti is located in A-building and the cafeteria Sentti in B-building. You will get your meal subsidy card on the first day of studies. Price for a student lunch is EUR 2.60/meal at the moment. Bitti is open on Saturdays as well.
