Study path for degree or open university studies – enrollment begins 1 August 2019
Häme university of applies sciences, HAMK, provides open university studies in Finnish and in English. You can choose study paths on Bachelor’s and Master’s level or separate open studies from degree programmes.
HAMK’s Study Paths are first academic year studies in Bachelor’s degrees and first semester studies in Master’s degrees. They are an excellent way to degree studies if you were not accepted the first time you applied, you want to study alongside your job or develop your existing skills towards degree.
HAMK’s Open Studies are available for all who want to study at university level. Open Studies are meant to support lifelong learning. They may be the beginning of your degree studies, you may improve your professional skills by studying or update the know-how you already have. Virtual courses suit those who want to study whenever and wherever they like.
All HAMK’s open studies are integral parts of education leading to a degree.
As Open Studies are not leading to a degree and it is not possible to get a residence permit only for that purpose. For further information, please visit the website of the Finnish Immigration Service.
Please also note that the studies often contain contact lessons and require attendance in HAMK.
You can apply as a degree student to HAMK on the basis of open studies completed in a university of applied sciences. If you are admitted as a degree student, the open studies which are completed and approved will be credited towards a degree at HAMK.
