HAMK ensuring safe arrival of international students
Häme University of Applied Sciences´ campuses will receive students from all over the world in the coming weeks. Arriving students are both exchange- and degree students.
HAMK has been in contact with all student arriving from abroad. If the student is coming from a high risk country, they will be put in self-quarantine or quarantine ordered by Finnish authorities before they begin their studies on campus.
HAMK offers support for students who are put in quarantine. Students who start their studies in Finland for the first time and are put in quarantine will receive a care package delivered to their accommodation in order to spend their quarantine at home. Transport from the airport to the student accommodation is also organized for all students arriving in Finland for the first time.
HAMK works in close co-operation with local health care providers and aims to ensure that all students will have a safe start to their studies. HAMK´s international degree programmes will begin in late August either fully online or as a hybrid model, where some students take part in on–campus teaching and others take part in the teaching using online platforms.
