HAMK Gaming Academy evolves — websites published and collaborations pending
Häme University of Applied Sciences launched HAMK Gaming Academy in February to bring electronic sports to studies and research. The whole has since evolved in different ways.
The website is now open and the content of the 15 credits wide esports-themed module is clear, and it will start in October. The module consists of three five-credit sections: Esports Management, Esports Events and Marketing, and Esports Projects. English is the language of instruction, the latter section can be in Finnish, depending on the project. The studies are set in periodes 2 and 3, from October 26, 2020 to March 12, 2021.
An esports ecosystem is being built with the city of Hämeenlinna. Cooperation negotiations are also being held with other partners in relation to the Esports Business Management module, events and student summer projects, theses and internships in esports.
A search for the gaming team at HAMK Gaming Academy opens later. A jersey is being designed for the team by a design student of HAMK.
