HAMK is cancelling public events, encourages working from home
The measures to prevent spreading of coronavirus have tightened both nationally and internationally. The Finnish Foreign Ministry currently advises to avoid all travelling abroad. The Government also outlined today that all public events for over 500 persons be cancelled until the end of May.
The Government also encourages organisers of public events to cancel smaller events. Due to the Government’s outline, HAMK has decided that all public events arranged at HAMK (seminars, fairs, events) are cancelled until the end of April. We will continue teaching until further notice but when possible, all teaching will be operated in distance teaching or as a combination of contact and distance teaching.
According to the outline by the Government, HAMK encourages staff and students to avoid public events and unnecessary travelling between campuses. All staff is encouraged to increasingly work from home whenever possible.
All staff and students arriving from other countries will automatically self-isolate to work or study from home for 14 days.
