Only people born in 1990 or before may get vaccinated at walk-in vaccination in Hämeenlinna University Centre on 7 October. The nurses at HAMK today only have Moderna vaccines with them. Yesterday, Sweden decided to suspend the use of the Moderna vaccine for people under the age of 30, and Kanta-Häme hospital district decided to wait for further instructions from The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare as precaution.
The nurses will be in Building N from 10.00 to 15.00 and will vaccinate people over the age of 30. They will assist people under the age of 30 in booking an appointment for vaccination at Verkatehdas, where Pfizer-Biontech vaccines are offered. A new walk-in vaccination at HAMK event is in planning.
EDIT 7.10.2021 12:05: 100 Pfizer-Biontech vaccines have been brought to HAMK, so also people under the age of 30 can get vaccinated today.
