Webinars on Green and Digital Steel Technologies on 26.5. and 27.5.2021
The webinars will address the latest trends in the field of green and digital steel technologies, such as reuse and circular economy in steel structures, high strength steel, additive manufacturing and sustainable coatings. Webinars are free of charge and everyone interested in the topics are welcomed to the events.
HAMK Tech will organize two events on 26th and 27th May 2021. The first webinar is in Finnish and the other one is in English.
On the first day we will focus on sustainable coatings. Jarmo Lilja from SSAB will give a speech of fossil free steel value chain and Markus Tupala from Piristeel presents their experiences in research and development collaboration. You will also hear about research methods and results, such as long-term and abrasion durability and friction in forming, obtained in bio-based coil coatings project. Moreover we will hear tips for companies to take part in research and development collaboration.

On the second day there will four themes: reuse and circular economy in steel structures, high strength steels, additive manufacturing and sustainable coatings. We have excellent talks of each theme. For instance, Professor Luis Simoes da Silva from University of Coimbra will give a speech of reusable buildings based on a case study. Professor Jukka Kömi and his team from University of Oulu will talk about advanced steel in green planet. Speech about greenness of and cyber-physically controlled systems for metallic additive manufacturing will be given by professor Nader Asnafi from Örebro University. Dr. Terje Grøntoft from Norwegian Institute for Air Research will tell about corrosion and soiling of painted steel.
