HAMK Summer School 2019

HAMK Summer School 2019

HAMK Summer School 2019 gathers young minds from all over the world to work together in inspiring projects for one week. The theme of the week is “Sustainable Future!”. Your task is to take the challenge and create solutions.

You will work in international teams and solve tasks given to you – HAMK’s skilled teachers will coach you and at same time help you to learn more about intercultural communications, sustainability, digitalisation and teamwork. During your time at the HAMK Summer School, you will also get to know Finnish culture and nature and get a glimpse of Finland´s advanced learning methods. You will be surprised how fun learning can be!

The week’s programme will be focused on sustainability and you will get to experience first hand how you can have an impact on the future. We will not put you to sit through lectures, but we will show you how to solve different kinds of problems and tasks together with your team. During the week, you will also learn more about intercultural competence, digital methods, and see how engineering and business can change the word.

During the summer school, you will:

  • Achieve a better understanding of sustainability and how to achieve it
  • Fly a drone, code, make a video… solve the problems and learn by doing
  • Improve your team, project and presentation skills and practice your English
  • Be awarded 3 credits (3 ECTS) from Häme University of Applied Sciences
  • Gain memories from beautiful Finland and friends from all around the world
