Using your personal computer for your studies

Using your own computer for your studies, or Bringing Your Own Device (BYOD), will become mandatory for all HAMK students in autumn 2021. Student must have their own laptops and they must have the right to install the necessary software and applications for their studies. This change will apply immediately to all students who will begin their studies in the autumn 2020 term.

Each programme has its own recommendations for the right types of computers and accessories. HAMK will provide instructions and advice on how to use its IT services on personal computers, but students will be personally responsible for the security of their computers.
