European Researcher’s Night 2023
29.09.2023 klo: 17.00 - 20.30
European Researchers’ Night is a diverse and practical science event that takes place across Europe in September. Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) is participating in the event for the second time, and this time we will present our research at Goodman Shopping Centre and Birger Beer Restaurant in Hämeenlinna. Welcome to hear and experience what kind of research we do at HAMK!
Programme
HAMK’s research event point at Goodman Shopping Centre (Kaivokatu 7, Hämeenlinna) from 17-20
Can a robot be cute and affectionate? Can you identify a tree in danger of falling, or how about a short lesson in blue-green algae identification? Interested in sustainability or intelligent automation? At HAMK, we do multidisciplinary applied research, and that’s also our event point for the European Researchers’ Night. We offer interesting things to see and experience for all ages. Welcome to meet us on the first floor of Goodman!
Researcher Talks at the Birger Beer Restaurant (Raatihuoneenkatu 5, Hämeenlinna) from 19.30 to 20.30
How can each of us make a positive impact on our local environment and the world by doing small things? This is the theme of our Researcher Talks at the European Researchers’ Night. Principal Research Scientist Outi Tahvonen will talk about improving relation to nature, Principal Research Scientist Katja Vähäsantanen about the importance of emotions in working life and Principal Research Scientist Jari Jussila about sustainability in business. The discussion will be moderated by Head of Development Maria Lassila-Merisalo. Welcome!
