From 25 to 29 October, Häme University of Applied Sciences will hold a Super week of the RUN European University, which will bring about 80 visitors from across Europe to Hämeenlinna. During the Super week, a group of students and teachers from the RUN European University will participate in events organised by HAMK, during which HAMK’s pedagogical competence will be showcased.

This is the first time that the members of the alliance of higher education institutions established in 2020 meet to familiarise themselves with Hämeenlinna and HAMK’s operations on-site. The Super week is also an important sign of returning to normal when the pandemic situation and health safety measures enable international mobility of higher education students and personnel.

RUN super week program

Three events will be held during the RUN Super week, the common goal of which is to develop high-quality learning and pedagogy at the RUN European University with international partners, led by HAMK.

1. At the Hämeenlinna University Centre, the international group of students will take part in a contact teaching week of the “How to navigate through uncovered contexts” study unit, which will address future skills.
2. A group of teachers from different RUN higher education institutions will meet in Hämeenlinna to participate in the pedagogical development programme led by HAMK.
3. Teachers and other personnel from RUN European University partner higher education institutions will participate in the Design Factory Bootcamp, where experts from the HAMK Design Factory will familiarise other higher education institutions of the RUN European University with the activities of the Design Factories.

The week culminates in a gala event on Friday 29 October, where international guests who participated in Super week events will bring together what they have learned at HAMK during the week. A panel discussion will also be organised in connection with the event. In addition to RUN influencers, the panel discussion will involve Matti Lipsanen, Director of Regional Development in the Regional Council of Häme.
