Marko Susimetsä

I work as a Principal Lecturer in professional teacher education. My key areas of responsibility include pedagogical development, teacher education and expert roles in various national and international projects. I hold a Master’s degree in English Philology and a Doctorate in Vocational Education.

During my career, I have worked in several national and international educational evaluation and development projects. My particular areas of interest include multiculturalism and interculturality, philosophy of education and the history of education. From 2020 to 2023, I was also a member of the steering group for the Development of Democracy and Human Rights Education (DIOK), a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Justice.
