Optional Studies in Computer Applications

The information below applies to students who started their studies in autumn 2020 or before.
For the students who started their studies in autumn 2021 we will update this information next autumn. Until then you can find the profiling studies in the curriculum.

Profiling and optional studies in Computer Applications are total 45 ECTS.

Examples of these:

• Profiling studies provided by the degree (30 ECTS total), visible in your degree structure
  • Business analytics and business intelligence, 15 ECTS
  • Artificial intelligence and big data, 15 ECTS
  • Introduction to game engine development and AR/VR, 15 ECTS
• Exchange studies carried out within our partner universities
• Product development project (PDP), 15 ECTS at Design Factory
• HAMK Gaming Academy (hamk.fi/gaming)
• Helsinki University Fullstack open, 15 ECTS

You can also take a total of 15 ECTS of optional studies. Make sure that these studies are suitable for your PSP before enrolling.

Examples of these could be:

• Professional studies taken from open university or CampusOnline
• Optional business studies (Startup business school, etc.)
• Exchange studies carried out within our partner universities
• FITech Network University
• ClimateUniversity
