In Agile-project, we pilot a further training course where business-oriented, agile and innovative product development projects are implemented and technical experts’ knowledge in areas such as metal additive manufacturing is deepened.

Additive manufacturing is one of the most clearly identified major technologies of the future. Cost reduction, circular economy and sustainable development objectives, as well as increased education and training are important drivers for the uptake of additive manufacturing. In Agile expert in additive manufacturing -project our main objective is to pilot a further training course of the same name, which will deepen the special skills of technicians while promoting continuous learning in the field of metal additive manufacturing.

During the course, the students implement business-oriented, agile and innovative product development projects. In addition to technical possibilities and constraints, the training will also take into account the cost-effectiveness and potential of additive manufacturing in promoting circular economy and sustainable development. The new skills acquired through the training will enable companies to develop new and more profitable business activities to improve their competitiveness.

Target group

The main target group of the piloted training is people with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, such as recent or graduating students, staff working in micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs and unemployed jobseekers.

Area of activity

The project covers the areas of Kanta-Häme and South Karelia.
