Plant factories

A novel industry for high-value plant production.

The main objectives of the Plant Factories -project are

1) optimize photosynthesis of commonly produced plant species by the modulation of light spectrum and intensity, and

2) utilize the possibilities with narrow-band lighting to adjust the chemical composition of the plants, and thereby product quality

The project aims to clarify possibilities to produce edible plants with high nutritional quality in plant factories.
