About me
I study green infrastructure in the built environment as an ecological, technical, and social system. My expertise focuses on the functioning of urban vegetation, growing environments, soil, water, carbon, and biodiversity, and on how these are addressed in planning, construction, and maintenance. My teaching and research brings together ecological processes, different types and networks of urban green spaces, human practices, and multiple spatial scales, ranging from individual details and sites to residential areas, cities, and catchments.
