About
Language Café is a friendly space where locals and HAMK international students come together to chat, connect, and get to know each other. By participating, you’ll have the opportunity to make Finnish language and culture more accessible, all while making new friends from around the world. For local people, it offers a great opportunity to assist in learning the Finnish language, but you will likely also get to practise your own English skills, as the common language is usually English. However, the main focus is on learning the Finnish language.
There’s no formal structure – just casual, enjoyable chats in a welcoming environment. Everyone can contribute, learn, and connect in their own way. And if you ever need any help to keep the conversation going, our friendly hosts are always there to support and assist.
