Learning by Doing: My Exchange Experience at HAMK
In autumn 2024, an exchange student joined International Business at HAMK’s Valkeakoski campus. The semester combined practical learning, cultural exchange, and personal development, making the experience both academically rewarding and personally meaningful.
What did you enjoy most about your exchange at HAMK?
I really loved the diverse range of courses at HAMK. The hands – on learning approach made every class engaging, and I got to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios. Also, the friendly and helpful staff made my stay comfortable.
Was there anything that could have been better?
If I had to point out one thing, the information flow about some local events could have been more efficient. But it’s a minor issue and didn’t really dampen my overall experience.
Would you recommend HAMK to future exchange students?
Absolutely! HAMK offers a great educational environment, wonderful cultural experiences, and the chance to meet students from all over the world. It’s a perfect place for an exchange.
How did the exchange impact you personally or academically?
Academically, I learned new study methods and expanded my knowledge in my major. Personally, I became more independent and adaptable, making friends from different cultures and broadening my global perspective.
