Does your company develop unmanned devices, robotics, or dual‑use technologies? The FIN‑SIM project offers your company a low‑threshold way to test and validate innovations in a virtual environment before making costly physical investments.
We provide an innovative simulation platform that enables easy experimentation and accelerates product development. By using our virtual test city, we help your company move efficiently from ideas to testing, significantly reducing development risks and large upfront investments.
We develop the platform according to the needs of the companies participating in the project. During the project, we will conduct five pilot trials in which selected companies can test and refine their concepts and products in a virtual environment built on real‑world data.
These environments are based on authentic datasets from the DataMill platform of Riihimäki, Hämeenlinna, and Forssa.
Target group
Our key target group consists of SMEs and startups operating in, or interested in, the Kanta‑Häme region that develop:
- Autonomous unmanned systems
- Dual‑use technologies serving both civilian and defence sectors
- Robotics and AI solutions
Indirectly, the project also serves:
- Public authorities and the public sector
Operating area
The primary operational area of the project is Kanta‑Häme, with a particular focus on the regions of Riihimäki, Hämeenlinna, and Forssa.
Why participate?
- Faster time to market: Virtual testing enables rapid validation of products and services.
- Cost efficiency: Reduce the need for expensive hardware and software infrastructure in the early stages.
- Multi‑technology support: The platform is well suited for drones (in air, on land, and in water), humanoid robots, unmanned ground vehicles, and other autonomous systems.
- Dual‑use potential: We particularly support the development of dual‑use technologies that serve both civilian and defence sectors.
- DEFINE business accelerator’s AI‑Lab test environment: We provide computing capacity for training machine learning models and testing these autonomous AI agents in a virtual test city.
