HAMK contributes to developing future skills

We are involved in developing new learning solutions as part of an international network that aims to renew education at a European level.

We participate in a European project that aims to make education more innovative, creative and practice-oriented, while strengthening the basic skills of children and young people aged 3–15. At the same time, we support teachers’ competences through Maker Education.

The development work is based on Maker Education, where learning takes place by making, discovering and working together. Children and young people are encouraged to learn by exploring, designing and implementing real-life projects.

Activities include, for example, digital storytelling, environmental projects and experiments with Artificial Intelligence (AI). This approach brings new teaching methods that support future skills and strengthen the active role of learners. Practical and creative learning activities are developed for children and young people to enhance digital skills and problem-solving abilities.

We work with nine partners from across Europe. The project includes six RUN-EU partners, strengthening collaboration within a European research and education context.

Together with our partners, we are responsible for the development of teacher training and support. The aim is to help teachers integrate Maker Education into their teaching and to build competences that continue beyond the project.

We develop training and competence modules for teachers and education professionals that support the implementation of new pedagogical approaches in everyday practice. In addition, we contribute to building a European network that enables knowledge sharing and the use of results also after the project has ended.
