Share your experiences, respect others

The start of a new academic year is an exciting time. New friends, events, projects, and campus life create many memorable moments that are fun to share with friends and followers on social media.
Let’s keep a few shared principles in mind to help make HAMK a welcoming, safe, and inclusive place to study for everyone.
Respect others’ privacy
Before posting photos or videos, make sure that anyone who can be clearly identified has given their permission. Everyone has the right to decide how their images and personal information are used.
Support a safer space
Share content that respects others. Do not post or distribute material that could embarrass, stigmatize, or make someone feel uncomfortable.
Take photos and videos responsibly
Follow staff instructions and any photography restrictions that may apply. Photography or recording may not be permitted in all locations or situations.
Think before you post
Treat people online the same way you would face to face: with respect, consideration, and professionalism.
Protect privacy and safety
Do not share personal data, confidential information, or any content that could compromise your own or someone else’s privacy or safety.
Speak up and report concerns
If you witness behaviour that goes against our Safer Space Principles or makes you feel uncomfortable, do not stay silent.
Let’s make HAMK a safe place together
Seek support from staff if needed and report the situation using the HAMK Safety Observation and Reporting Form.
