The Competence Bridge builds new ways to enable continuous learning through research, development and innovation activities.
The project’s goal is to develop a nationwide operating model that enables competencies generated through research, development and innovation (RDI) activities to be systematically utilised in the context of continuous learning.
In the Competence Bridge -project, we will:
- map and analyze the best practices of higher education institutions
- develop the model together with higher education institutions and working life partners
- pilot the model in five universities of applied sciences
- produce an open-access toolkit, guidebook, and impact assessment tools
Target group
The project’s primary target groups are RDI personnel at universities of applied sciences, continuous learning specialists and teachers.
Indirect target groups include adult learners, companies and organisations and employment and regional development actors.
Operating area
The universities of applied sciences implementing the project, forming the 5AMK network, are geographically located in Southern Finland, South-Eastern Finland and the Kanta-Häme region.
The project generates both regional and national benefits by supporting the systematic utilisation of RDI activities and their results as part of continuous learning.
