HAMK Alumni Mentoring Programme 2027 – Calling All 2nd–4th-Year Students
The programme brings together current HAMK students and HAMK graduates (alumni). who are willing to share their professional experiences, discuss career opportunities and offer practical advice about working life.
What Will You Gain?

- Get career advice from a HAMK graduate with professional experience.
- Explore career opportunities and learn about different career paths.
- Learn about working life in Finland and abroad.
- Build your professional network and make connections with HAMK alumni.
- Receive one-to-one career guidance from HAMK Career Services to support your career planning and help you prepare for mentoring meetings.
- Earn 1 ECTS credit for active participation.
How Does the Programme Work?
The Alumni Mentoring Programme is based on one-to-one mentoring, where each student is matched with a graduate alumnus/alumna from HAMK.
- Application period: 1-30 November 2026
- Online kick-off session: 21 January 2027, 5:15-6:00 PM
- Mentoring period: 22 January-26 April 2027
- Number of mentoring meetings: 3
- Meetings can be arranged online or in person, depending on the participants’ location and availability.
- The mentoring language can be Finnish, English, or both.
- Online closing session: 27 April 2027, 5:00-6:00 PM
Students selected for the programme will also receive personalised career guidance and support from HAMK Career Services, including practical tips on preparing for mentoring meetings and making the most of the mentoring experience.
Who Can Join?
The programme is open to all 2nd–4th-year HAMK degree students and students in professional teacher education programmes who commit to:
- Are interested in career development and future opportunities.
- Want to learn from the experiences of HAMK alumni.
- Can commit to the fixed dates listed above, as well as a 30-minute career guidance session during Week 2 (11–15 January 2027).

Complete the application form by 30.11.2026 and tell us what you’d like to learn or discuss with a mentor. We’ll use this information to find a suitable match for you.

Alumni Mentoring at HAMK
The Alumni Mentoring Programme was launched in 2026 to connect HAMK students with alumni and support students in preparing for working life.
The programme is part of HAMK’s alumni activities which are being developed in collaboration with The Moment project, which supports international students and alumni in building professional networks and preparing for working life in Finland.
