Information searching online course has been updated – learn basics independently
HAMK library’s online course on information searching is especially designed for students starting their thesis, but you can also use it to support your search skills earlier in your studies.
You can complete the entire course or explore only the sections that interest you most. The course and its exercises are not assessed, and no credits are awarded.
Sections 2, 4 and 8 in the course have been updated in June 2026. The update means
- new perspectives on information searching in section 2
- information presented in a new way, for example a Thinglink in section 2
- more examples of searching with natural language in sections 4 and 8
- and some field specific materials at the end of the course.
