Updates in Tuudo’s Safety menu
Instructions for calling for help and guiding emergency responders to the correct location on campus are now available in Tuudo.
Our campuses are often large and complex, which means that providing only the street address may not be enough for emergency responders to find the correct location. For this reason, accurately reporting the location and guiding emergency services to the scene are important aspects of campus safety.
By being familiar with our campus environment, we can help ensure that emergency assistance reaches the right place as quickly as possible when it is needed.
If You Need to Call 112
Remember to make sure that help can also find its way to the correct location quickly. On campus, a street address alone may not always be enough to locate the right building, entrance, or room.
- Whenever possible, use the 112 Suomi mobile application.
- Provide the emergency response centre with the most precise location information possible.
- If necessary, send someone to meet the ambulance, fire and rescue service, or police.
- The guide can wait, for example, at the main entrance or the campus access road and direct responders to the scene.
