The Career Day in Design, making its debut on Friday, brings together HAMK’s design students, alumni and industry professionals.

During the day there will be keynotes of the essential skills for employment in the creative industries, entrepreneurship, recruitment, and on positioning oneself and one’s skills in the market instead of applying.

Students also have the opportunity to receive personalised feedback on their portfolios and to practise interview situations with industry professionals.

– The Career Day in Design event boosts our students’ readiness to gain employment in the creative industries. The event features inspiring keynotes by design professionals, and in workshops students receive practical training and feedback that prepare them for recruitment situations in the creative sector, says HAMK’s Head of Design Programmes, Anna Huoviala.

Visitors to the event include multi-talented Italian designers Andrea Filippi and Gabriele Moschin, Young Finnish Design entrepreneurs Elisa Luoto and Heidi Huovinen, Riikamaria Paakkunainen from Reima‘s communications, and Anne Ala-Mattinen from Eight Am Agency.
