Educational Agents
Educational Agents and agencies are organisations which provide help and support when finding the suitable degree programmes and institutions. They often provide services like submitting applications and apply for residence permits and study visas.
Certificated Agencies
At the moment HAMK has partner agreements with the several agencies, all listed bellow. These agencies receive HAMK training and materials every year in order to provide updated and correct information about HAMK, degree programmes, application process, tuition fees and scholarships etc.
Please note, that starting from 1 Jan 2025, applicants who are not citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland are required to pay an application fee of 100€ when applying to higher education studies in Finland. You can always seek advice directly from HAMK staff, so there’s no need to use third-party services when applying or starting your studies. Please also note that tuition fees must always be paid directly to HAMK—never through any third parties.

National Code of Conduct for Agents
The Finnish International Education Agent Code of Conduct (ACoC) establishes professional standards for agents recruiting international students to Finnish higher education institutions. Part of Finland’s strategy to increase international student numbers and retain them in the workforce, the ACoC ensures ethical interactions and inclusivity in recruitment processes. Endorsed by Finnish educational authorities, it complements national guidelines on ethical conduct in education export.
The Agent Code of Conduct has received approval from Arene, the Rector’s Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences, and Unifi, the Rector’s Council for Finnish Universities. As a result, this document establishes standards for conducting international student recruitment. For more details, please refer to Arene’s press release.
HAMK is also committed to operating in accordance with this agent code of conduct and expects its partners to adhere to the same ethical student recruitment standards.
