Atte Partanen

I work as a Solution Specialist at HAMK Tech research unit and belong to the Smart City research group within the Sustainable Built Environment research area. In our group, we develop AI-enhanced decision-making and data-driven, digitally networked, and sustainable solutions for urban environments. Our goal is to promote the use of smart technologies—such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and data analytics—in the built environment to strengthen human-centric, data-driven decision-making.

I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree and solid experience in technology sector projects as well as the development of smart and energy-efficient systems. In my work, I am particularly interested in how new technologies, data, and our partners’ practical needs can be combined into functional and sustainable solutions.
