International virtual exchange programme for students

Work online with participants from Africa and Europe on a real rural development and entrepreneurship challenge. Join the AGRI-MOCKS international virtual exchange now. The five-week pilot runs from 29 September to 30 October 2026 and combines practical teamwork, mentoring, short online learning activities, self-paced MOOCs, and a business simulation.

Target audience: Anyone interested in international teamwork, entrepreneurship, sustainability, rural development, or business development. The e-internship takes place online; no travel is required.

About the Programme
During the five weeks, participants will work in small international teams to analyse practical business-related challenges and develop solutions. The teams are designed to bring together participants from Europe and Africa, giving them experience of close collaboration across different backgrounds and perspectives.
The programme includes one 1.5-hour online session each Tuesday at 17:00 Finnish time, as well as independent study and team activities between the sessions. If you cannot attend an individual weekly session, you can watch the recording and complete a short follow-up task. The final week includes an online business simulation. Participants who complete the pilot receive a certificate.

The Agri-MOCKS project aims to enhance employability in agriculture and rural development by creating innovative eLearning materials, virtual internships, and fostering co-working among youth, students, and educators across Africa and Europe.
We offer young people the opportunity to learn together in international groups without the need to physically go abroad for an exchange. At the same time, we strengthen their critical thinking, civic engagement, and entrepreneurial mindset to help build a sustainable future.
The project duration is 1st of February 2025 until 31st of January 2028 and it is co-funded by the European Union
