Mustiala Open Field Day

Biodiversity and Cultivation Resilience!
The traditional Mustiala Open Field Day  will be held at the Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) Mustiala campus on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The event will explore the benefits of increasing biodiversity and the resilience in organic farming.

Location: Mustiala Campus, Mustialantie 105, 31310 Mustiala (Tammela)

The Field Day at Mustiala campus brings together professionals from the agricultural sector. This year’s theme is “Biodiversity and Cultivation Resilience.” During the event, you can explore a wide range of species and varieties, fertilizers, soil improvement methods, landrace varieties, grassland biomass assessment, and tools for collecting farm data. At the various activity stations, experts will share insights from previous years, observations made during the summer, and current topics related to agricultural production.

The Field Day is open to everyone. A coffee tent will be available on-site, and the student restaurant, Huttula, offers lunch at your own expense between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Please register for lunch no later than August 26, 2026.

Projects participating in the event:

The projects aim to increase cropping diversity and resilience. The projects are funded by the European Union / European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development 2023–2027.
