The field is limited on two sides by a road, but is irregularly shaped on the other edges. The stiffness of the soil limits the cultivation of crops.

Nutrient fiber has been spread on the plot in 2022, and the carbon sequestration in the soil is being studied. The plot also has a gas measurement field for the HiiletIn project.
Cultivation measures
During the growing season, three different varieties of barley were cultivated on the plot. In addition, experiments were conducted on recycling fertilizers, heirloom grains, and carbon farming.

Testing activity
- ,Comparison of barley varieties. Three different barley varieties, Silo, Rödhette and RGT Planet, were sown on an unfertilized field. There were significant differences between the different varieties due to variations in soil structure.
2. Variety trial of landraces and old commercial varieties (Diversity in the Field project). The trial field consisted of five landrace wheat varieties and seven oat varieties (two old commercial varieties and five landraces). The oats were grown for seed production.
Mineral and sugar analyses were conducted on heritage wheat. Yield data, thousand kernel weight, and protein percentages were collected from the heritage wheat.

3. Recycling Fertilizer Experiment (CANASTA Project).
At the test field, recycling fertilizers made from chicken manure were studied at different fertilization rates, 1000 kg, 500 kg, and 0-square, as well as Combooster treatment.
