Our aim is to explore the use of extended reality (XR) technology in business and the public sector. The project will give businesses access to the latest XR technologies and tools already in use in a number of large companies.

XR technologies have developed at a tremendous pace in recent years. New technologies are already being used in many industrial sectors such as metals, construction, aviation, automotive and education. XR technology also offers Finnish companies the opportunity to develop and and create new business.

However, the challenge is to find the best practical applications for the technology. Many companies do not yet have sufficient knowledge and experience of the technology and its potential. To address this challenge, we at the Häme University of Applied Sciences and the Tampere Universities have started a cooperation to support companies in the Häme region in their ability to adopt new technologies in their own operations and thus create new business.
