RUN-EU Programme Encouraging Societal Participation Is Launched

RUN European University’s Service to Society Platform – Ready to Service (RETOS) aims to promote the engagement of our students in solving societal challenges and engaging in volunteering within RUN-EU regions across Europe as part of their study programmes.
We are pleased to launch HAMK’s RETOS programme in the academic year 2025-2026. This programme offers many strands for both staff and students, including:
- Engaging with our local communities through explaining RUN-EU, collaborating on events and hosting visitors to campus;
- Advancing the development of collaborative volunteering opportunities for HAMK students and other RUN-EU universities’ students
- Sharing best practice in volunteering with our RUN-EU partners;
- Sending our students on international mobility experiences to participate in volunteering opportunities with partners in RUN-EU;
- Sending our lecturers on RETOS related courses, including Short Advances Programmes on Service to Society;
- Furthering the development of Service Learning in our curriculum through HAMK’s Unit for Research and Development of Higher Education Pedagogy (HEPeda)
- Developing inter-disciplinary and international service-learning projects through our Design Factory
