Why is it important to follow Viva Engage?
This internal social media channel works just like the social media you use every day, but with one big difference: it’s only for HAMK students and staff.
That means all the updates and information you see are relevant, secure, and focused on the HAMK community, and it can help you:
- Stay Informed: Get real-time updates on service breaks, campus-specific news, and practical information that affect your studies.
- Find Support Services: Get updates and useful information from student support channels such as HAMK Career Services.
- Connect Across Campuses: See what’s happening in other degree programs and campuses. Great for networking and discovering events.

Which Viva Engage channels should you follow?
To get the most out of Viva Engage, follow the channels that match your degree program and campus. To make it easier, here’s a quick guide with direct links to the most relevant channels,so you can find and follow the ones that matter most to you.
Design Students
If you’re studying Smart and Sustainable Design, or any of the Kulttuuri- ja taidetoiminta programs (AMK/YAMK), you’ll find all updates on the Design community channel. All the information is in one channel.
Entrepreneurship and Business Students
These students have separate community channels for each program. Make sure to join the one that matches your degree:
Health and Social Services Students
For nursing and social services students, there’s a dedicated channel for each program:
- Sairaanhoitaja (yrittäjyyspainotus) Forssa (AMK),
- Sairaanhoitaja Hameenlinna (AMK),
- Sairaanhoitaja Valkeakoski (AMK),
- Sosiaali- ja terveysalan kehittäminen ja johtaminen (YAMK),
- Terveydenhoitaja (AMK), and
- Terveydenhoitaja muuntokoulutus (AMK).
IT and ICT Students
If you’re in Computer Applications, ICT Circular Economy, or any Tieto ja Viestintätekniikka program, there are separate VE channels:
- Computer Applications (bachelor’s degree),
- Information and Communication Technology Circular Economy (bachelor’s degree),
- Tieto ja Viestintätekniikka (AMK),
- and Tietojenkäsittely (AMK).
Natural Resources and Biotechnology Students
Studying horticulture, forestry or biotechnology? Join the dedicated channel for your program:

Technology and Traffic Students
Students in these programs have separate channels:
