National Games Week x HAMK
Join us for National Games Week x HAMK — a celebration that brings together gaming, community, and shared experiences across all HAMK campuses!
From 3–7 November, students and staff will explore different sides of gaming culture through various events, tournaments, discussions, and community challenges.
Whether you’re into digital games, board games, or simply enjoy the social side of play, there’s something for everyone. The week is built around openness, creativity, and a spirit of togetherness — both on campus and online.
At HAMK, the event is part of the national Peliviikko (Games Week) initiative, which aims to highlight the positive role of gaming in supporting community, well-being, and culture.

Everyone at HAMK is welcome to take part — whether you’re a player, organizer, or just curious about the events.
Cross Campus Tournament
During Gaming Week, we’ll be hosting a Cross-Campus Gaming Tournament on Discord!
It’s a chance to jump in, team up with others, and represent your campus while having some fun and showing a bit of school pride along the way. Students and staff will take on daily gaming challenges, earning points for themselves and their campus. A new challenge will drop every night at midnight, and you’ll have 24 hours to complete it and submit your entry right here in the server.
This event is for everyone – whether you’re a casual gamer, a hardcore competitor, an artist, a cosplayer, or just here to join in on the fun. At the end of the week, we’ll total up all the points, and the campus with the highest score will be crowned the 1st Cross-Campus Tournament Champion, taking home the Winner’s Trophy and some serious bragging rights.
