HAMK is a member of the RUN European University– a European higher education alliance that brings together ten higher education institutions from nine countries. RUN‑EU builds cooperation at the interfaces of education, research and working life. During RUN-EU Day you will learn more about our European cooperation and its many opportunities for students, staff and stakeholders.

Explore RUN-EU at our event stands from 10am to 1pm
At the event points in the N-lobby of the Hämeenlinna University Centre you can find information and light-hearted activities about the RUN European University and its many opportunities for our students, staff and stakeholders. At the event points, among other things:
- Thinking about an internship? Come and explore internship opportunities across Europe!
- Find out what kind of RUN‑EU expert you are! Learn more about how RUN‑EU can support your internationalisation whether you are a HAMK employee, student or stakeholder. You will also find information about our mobility opportunities. Student RUN‑EU opportunities can be explored in advance on our website.
- Aiming for doctoral studies? The RUN‑EU Professional Doctorate combines theoretical studies and practical research as part of a multidisciplinary, work-life-oriented collaboration. The doctoral candidate receives supervision both from higher education institutions and industry. Read more on our website and visit our information point at the event!
- Research collaboration within RUN-EU. HAMK is currently involved in several research and development projects carried out in RUN‑EU cooperation. Come and learn, for example, how a teacher training programme is being developed within RUN (EU‑SIDE project) or how local innovations are being accelerated (TIDER project).
- Discover your start‑up potential. Come and find out what support HAMK and RUN‑EU can offer for entrepreneurship and the development of innovations.
Round table from 12 am to 1pm
Representatives from Helsinki University, Tampere University of Applied Sciences and HAMK will share best practices and experiences from their alliances.
Workshop: Enhance your expertise with the European Union and Values, 9–11am
The training will be given by Krista Taipale, Director of the Häme EU Office, and is aimed at HAMK staff.
Get-together from 4pm to 7pm
Step into the world of RUN-EU and discover a wide range of exciting opportunities! Connect with fellow students and staff as you dive into lively games, interactive and fun social activities. Enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks while making new friends, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable memories. Warmly welcome!
