Language Cafés are back in Hämeenlinna and Valkeakoski!

Language Café brings local and international residents together around the same table. It offers people learning Finnish an opportunity to practise speaking the language in a relaxed and supportive environment. At the same time, local residents can meet new people and support language learning through everyday conversations.

You don’t need to speak perfect Finnish to join Language Café. It is not a lesson or a language course. The most important thing is simply to come along, take a seat and start a conversation. During the sessions, participants chat about everyday topics over coffee or tea. No preparation, teaching experience or particular level of language proficiency is required.

The aim is to bring local and international residents together, strengthen the sense of community and create natural opportunities to practise Finnish in everyday situations.

Participation is free, and there is no need to commit to attending throughout the season. Language Café is open to everyone, and you can come alone or with a friend.
