The goal of the RuokaSyke project is to develop food sector networks in Häme, update the regional food strategy, and strenghten the region’s own food identity.

Within the RuokaSyke project, we are enchancing the sustainability and competitiveness of Häme’s food chain. Previous projects have identified the need to update Häme’s food strategy, develop indicators and strenghten networks.

Our aim is to find new ways to support local food production. In the project, we will update the regional food strategy and build a clear set of indicators to monitor progress. We will bring together food sector actors and thereby promote collaboration within the regional food chain.

At the core of the project’s work are innovations and the strenghtening of networks, which lay at the foundation for a vibrant future for the rural areas of Häme.

Our objectives:

  1. Strenghtening the food identity of Häme by highlighting the region’s strenghts and developing collaboration networks.
  2. Updating the Häme Food Strategy 2030 and ensuring alignment with national and international objectives.
  3. Maintaining and strenghtening Häme’s food sector networks.
