Accommodation during your studies
Affordable student accommodation is well available on the HAMK campuses. You can only apply for student accommodation in the location where you are studying. You can find your campus in your acceptance letter.
HAMK has its own student apartments on the Evo, Lepaa and Mustiala campuses.
Hämeenlinna has the Hämeenlinna Region Student Housing Foundation (HOPS), which rents apartments in Visakylä and Kampuskaarre, near the university centre, and in Hattelmala. The rents for HOPS student apartments include electricity, water and internet.

Hämeenlinna, with a population of around 68 000, has short distances, making it easy to get from place to place by bicycle. For information on local transport, click here. The city is conveniently located along the Helsinki-Tampere motorway and good public transport connections.
In Riihimäki, student housing is provided by the Hämeenlinna Seudun Opiskelija-asuntosäätiö (HOPS). There are plenty of apartments available, including studios, two-bed flats and cellular flats.
Riihimäki is a town of about 29 000 inhabitants, conveniently located along the Helsinki-Tampere motorway and good public transport connections. Local transport timetables can be found here.
In addition, there is plenty of private rental housing available in the Riihimäki region at reasonable prices.
In Valkeakoski, people live loosely and comfortably. On average, housing costs are one third cheaper than in Tampere.
Valkeakoski is an active town of 21 000 inhabitants, located 35 km south of Tampere. It is a good and safe city to live in and all central services are within easy reach. Valkeakoski’s landscape is dominated by extensive water areas. Nature and water are always close by, as are a wide range of leisure and sports facilities and a wealth of public and private services.
Forssa is a city of around 17 000 inhabitants with good transport connections. Student housing in Forssa is provided by Forssa-asunnot Oy (in Finnish).

You can also stay at Evo for shorter periods, for example during the weeks around your multi-study. People staying in Evo for a short period will generally stay in single rooms.
In Lepaa, you will live in a beautiful campus area, in the immediate vicinity of the school.
There are also a few family apartments on campus, which are mainly rented unfurnished.
You can also stay for shorter periods, for example during the weeks around your multi-curricular studies. For short stays at Lepaa, you will usually stay in double rooms.
In Mustiala, you will live in a green campus area in the immediate vicinity of the school. Single and double rooms are available in cellular apartments.
You can also stay in Mustiala for shorter periods. You will usually stay in the Anttila building. The rooms are furnished and have pillows and blankets.
